Coatesville School BOT 2024
Kia ora e te whānau!
We are proud to be Coatesville School's Board of Trustees. We are an elected group of five parent representatives and one staff representative, plus the school Principal.
The Board’s key focus is ensuring all of our ākonga (students) reach their full potential through a quality education.
As such we are responsible for: Governance of the school; Setting the school's strategic plan in conjunction with the Principal and staff; Giving effect to Te Tiriti o Waitangi; Ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all our students; and Overseeing the management of personnel, curriculum, property, finance, policy, and administration.*
*The boards primary objectives as identified in the Education and Training Act 2020
At Coatesville School Kotahitanga (unity) is at the heart of all we do. Following recent consultation with our school community we have prioritised four key strategic goals in 2024. Each goal is supported by a robust implementation plan. We welcome your continued support and kotahitanga as we work through each plan and journey towards achieving our school’s goals over the next two years.
If you have any feedback you’d like to share with the Board, we’d love to hear from you!
Please get in touch with the Presiding Member. Your views on the Board’s areas of governance are always welcome, however for issues related to day-to-day school operations and teaching matters, please talk to one of the teaching staff, or the Principal.
We trust this year is a happy and successful one for all our students, staff and whānau.
