The exams we participate in are Science, Spelling Bee, English & Mathematics. ALL exams will be sat online. If you would like to read the framework for each exam (to find out more about what is involved) please visit this link Who are the exams for? They are very challenging exams, designed for above average achievers. If you or your child are interested but unsure please talk to the classroom teacher. They may have a view on whether ICAS is a good choice for your child. Preparing for exams Children can expect practice sessions to start a week or more before the exam. This will include accessing the online practice test so they become familiar with how to navigate the assessment. During that period they should also complete 4-5 old exam papers independently at home. They will have a small amount of time to meet as a group, practice exam papers, mark work and have the chance to ask questions about any difficult problems. However, the majority of the exam practice will be completed as homework. Registering for ICAS Registrations for ICAS will open in Term 2 2020 There is a $15 charge for each exam If your child is interested in taking part in the exams please fill out the registration form (right) and pay the exam fees at the school by Friday 3rd July (We will only be entering students who have paid for the exams ).
