We had such a busy session at Garden Club today. So much to do to prepare the garden for next term's planting and of course to get ready for Ag Day which is fast approaching.
The seed potatoes are doing so well in their recycled tyre towers, we had to top them up with more soil, huge thanks to my helpers Maddie and Lauren for taking on the role of leading that task.
It's also time to get ready for strawberry season, we have a lot of work to do to get our strawberry bed ready, we started weeding the existing strawberry bed, we also need to prepare the other half of that garden bed as we are going to double the size of our strawberry patch this year. A huge thanks to Kyle and Josh who took on the role of leading the strawberry patch task.
Some of you may have noticed we use painted wooden spoons to mark the plantings in our garden. We are in short supply so we spent some time painting some new spoons ready for decorating and labelling.
Whew what a busy day! We have got so much to do to get ready for Ag Day - next term is going to be very very busy at Garden Club, can't wait to see all your smiling faces back for term 3.
Great work today team!
Happy holidays.
Victoria and Gail
