Wow what a great day to be at garden club. Our potatoes have done so well we needed to stack some more tyres onto our raised beds. Great effort from everyone getting the 'new' tyres into place and filling them up with dirt from the surrounding garden. A huge effort, it was such a pleasure to stand back and watch the teamwork. Good work everyone. And a big thanks to Albany Tyres for giving us a hand with tyres for our potato project.
We then moved on to talking about edible flowers - borage or 'starflower' in particular. Turns out the flowers of our borage plants are not only pretty but also delicious! Especially when used on top of a vanilla cupcake, thanks Gail!
