2019 Rugby Registration

- Uniform: Rippa rugby teams require Coatesville School sports shirt and black shorts. The tackle team will be provided with a rugby jersey and must wear black shorts.
- Please note: Tackle Team is usually for Year 5 & 6 students only (Year 4s in exceptional circumstances only)
Tackle rugby and Rippa rugby information
This is a great opportunity for Year 4 - 6 students to take part in three rugby tournament during school time this year - with plenty of healthy competition & loads of fun!
The tournaments will be held in Helensville from 9 - 3pm. Teams will travel by bus.
Tournament dates for 2019: (Rain save days will be the following Tuesday)
Thursday 30th May
Thursday 25th July
Thursday 5th September
Team fees: ALL players are asked to pay $30 ($10 to cover the cost of team registration and $20 to cover the cost of buses to and from the tournaments). This will be due once teams are confirmed.
Please pay the $30 to the school bank account: 12 3059 0307932 00
‘RIPPA’ Rugby
Year 4-6 (non-contact - tags are ripped instead of tackling /touching)
* Teams - girls & boys separate or mixed (12-13 per squad)
* Coatesville School sports shirt and black shorts to be worn
* No boots or shoes are worn
* Mouthguards (recommended)
We will field 3-4 teams depending on numbers of interested children.
SMALL BLACKS rugby
TACKLE rugby/10 aside: Year 5 – 6 students
* Squad of 12-13
* Rugby jersey (provided) and black short to be worn
* No boots or shoes are worn
* Mouthguards must be worn
* Weight limit – must be under 55kg
If we have more players interested than is required for a team then we will have a ‘trial’ game to select the final squad. Players not selected will have the choice of playing in a rippa team.
Year 4s may be selected in exceptional circumstances.
Registration
A North Harbour Rugby registration form will be sent home and is required to be completed before the first tournament. Places in teams may be limited depending on numbers.
