Room 11 is loving our weekly Ako Time with our buddy class Room 1. We not only improve our Te Reo skills but they are sharing some valuable computer skills. We have started using things we have learnt from Room 1 in our own work and are enjoying trying out new designs.
Room 11 took part in the nationwide Get NZ Writing activity where as a class you complete a range of activities and create a poster and collaborate art piece that is then shred with another school.
As part of an ongoing writing activity, Room 11 took a walk around the school to look, hear and smell all the wonder things Coatesville has to offer. We will be working on our descriptions to share with another school in Gisborne and look forward to receiving their descriptions. Watch this space for our completed work.
As part of our Tui Team day, we created a piece of collaborative art. Everyone had a hand in its creation. Today Room 11 finished it off. Keep an eye out for it in the next few days.
As part of our first week in Room 11, we looked at what we thought was the best part of us. They ranged from brains to eyes and hand to abs - we had to explain why these parts were important, ranging from seeing beautiful things to keeping us fit and strong. Come into class and check out other great reasons.
