2018 Rugby Registration
- Please click on the button below to register your child for Rugby
- Please use an email address that both teachers and coaches can use to contact you in regards to Rugby information.
- Uniform: Pants and shirts are available for purchase from the office. The tackle team will be provided with a shirt.
- Please note: Tackle Team is for Year 5&6 students only.
Tackle rugby and Rippa rugby
This is a great opportunity for Year 4 - 6 students to take part in three rugby tournament during school time this year - with plenty of healthy competition & loads of fun! The tournaments will be held in Helensville from 9 - 2pm.
Tournament dates for 2018: (Rain save days will be the following Tuesday)
Thursday 31st May
Thursday 26th July
Thursday 13th September * Please note date change.
‘RIPPA’ Rugby
Year 4-6 (non-contact - tags are ripped instead of tackling /touching)
* Teams - girls & boys mixed (12-13 per squad)
* No boots are worn
* Mouthguards (recommended)
We will field a maximum of 2 teams depending on numbers of interested children.
SMALL BLACKS rugby
TACKLE rugby/10 aside: Year 5 – 6 students
* Squad of 12-13
* No boots are to worn
* Mouthguards must be worn
* Weight limit – must be under 55kg
If we have more players interested than is required for a team then we will have a ‘trial’ game to select the final squad. Players not selected will have the choice of playing in a rippa team.
Registration
A North Harbour Rugby registration form will be sent home and is required to be completed before the first tournament. Places in teams may be limited depending on numbers.
Team fees: ALL players are asked to pay $25 ($10 to cover the cost of team registration and $15 to cover the cost of buses to and from the tournaments). This will be due once teams are confirmed.
