Have a listen to our latest song...
We have had a fabulous start to the term!
Well done to Room 10 and all those that have been working hard with their Mathletics practice at home. It has paid off with us starting the term with four straight weeks of having the highest number of points! Keep it up!
It's the end of Term 1!
It has been a very busy term but we have been so successful getting there!
Have a safe and amazing holiday - I can't wait to see you all in a few weeks!

We have been very lucky having Mr Robson come in to show us how to set up and use Google Classroom!
- For those of you who don't know, Google Classroom is a blended learning platform for schools that aims to simplify creating, distributing and marking assignments in a paperless way. The teacher can set assignments, and then children can log in using their own account and complete their work for the teacher to see.
Our first page was to create something "about me". If they chose to, children could insert pictures, draw images, insert hyperlinks, as well as set their own fonts, sizes, and colours.
Every day we have five people share their news. It's a great way to build word vocabulary and develop expressive oral skills but also make sure they are able to frequently try out new language during these conversational exchanges. They are allowed to answer three questions posed by the children. Its an excellent way to build confidence with their peers.
We won the E Award!
Each day after lunch, children from Room 1 mark each class on their cloak bay, outside area, and recycle bin. The class with the most points for the week wins a one of a kind trophy made from recycled material.
This week Room 10 was the best at keeping their environment clean and tidy!
We have proudly displayed the trophy in our class, so come in and check it out next week.
Our 2017 focus is 'Empowering ourselves and others'
... and our context for learning in Term 1 is 'being successful'.
So far this year Room 10 has been very busy establishing the most amazing learning culture! We need a supportive environment with high, yet achievable expectations to ensure we are consistently being successful.
It also provides a great opportunity to share and consider the Coatesville Competencies of Respect, Responsibility and Reflection and ways we can incorporate these into our daily school lives.
Please check back on this blog regularly. It will be updated by members of Room 10 whenever we have something we want to share with you!
See you all there!
