Paige and Ethan play in the Connect Four Championship. Well done Ethan- Champion for the second year running!
Last night we presented our production -In The House. The children did a great job bringing their characters to life and they received many laughs from the audience.
Here are some photos and reflections from Room 1.
Liam M- I liked that it told everyone that we should preserve our culture .
I liked the future tech item because it was very descriptive.
AJA -I really liked all of the ads. They were amazing but think the third was the best of them all. My favorite characters was Barry Crump, Fred Dagg, Billy T and Mrs Speaker. I had a giggle when she walked out.
Lily - I really enjoyed the taniwha dance, How Lucky we Are, the digital video and all the jokes. I learned how to get self confidence and believe in myself. My favourite part was Barry Crump, Fred Dagg, Billy T and King Winston because the were very funny and it was a great laugh.
Paige - I really liked the production. It was funny and silly. I also felt confident speaking in front of a large group of people. I think we should have got more people with speaking roles instead of always looking at the TV, but all together it was a good production.
Peter- I like being Winston Peters getting loads of laughs, doing what I love, speaking in front of loads of people.
Nikita - I liked Winston Peters because he was funny and I liked the taniwha dance.
Tayla - I enjoyed the gumboot and Taniwha dance. I felt a little bit confident doing the dance.
Claire- I really enjoyed doing In the Beginning and the taniwha dance. I learnt that you have to do really big movements if you are not saying anything so that people know who you are and what you are doing. My favourite part was when people watched the ad that I helped to make.
Brandon Ferreira-I really enjoyed the taniwha dance because I was in it and I enjoyed the ads and the jokes and the car and the masks.
Ethan Stockhammer- I enjoyed the taniwha dance because I was in it. I also enjoyed the gumboot dance. I was a reporter and one of my answers for how could we improve was we don’t need to.
Jacob HITCHCOCK- I enjoyed the whole thing! The Taniwha dance was fun, I enjoyed singing the “We Don’t Know How Lucky We Are” and the “Gumboot Song” and as a reporter, I got great feedback. They all said “I don’t know how you could improve! It was too good!”
I really liked the production. It was really fun and I enjoyed the water dances and Burry Crump was really funny and and I learnt how to to clear actions and I think totora did really good.
I really liked it and I was in the water dance and it was really fun and I am really confident now too go in front of big crowds.
Liam B -I think the gumboot dance was good. We need more practice we were out of time.
GEORGINA - I really liked how we did the gumboot dance, but I think there should be more dance moves. The taniwha dance, and I like all the dance moves, and I also think that all of the dance moves matched the taniwha dance. I had a giggle when Mrs Speaker walked out to bow.
Max -I really liked how we had Barry Crump's toyota as a prop. I learnt that we really need to be quiet during performances I don’t have a favourite part.
