Our young and budding gardeners have had a busy start to the year. This week they dismantled Steve the Scarecrow and weeded the gardens to prepare them for planting. They harvested the first of the pumpkins which they will keep until next week to cut. The students have big plans to make pumpkin seed salad, pumpkin pie and pumpkin soup with our harvest! A huge thank you to Gail Dugmore and Victoria Cadness who work tirelessly throughout the year supporting our enthusiastic young gardeners. If you would like to be involved, we are currently looking for some extra parent (or grandparent) helpers. We meet on Mondays between 1:00-1:45pm. If this sounds like you please see Amelia Macnab in Room 6 or email amacnab@coatesville.school.nz |
