The Circus came to town last Tuesday with a spectacular performance by Kiwi Students. We had amazing acts from Ringmasters, Clowns, Magicians, Strongmen, Musicians, Animals and Dancers. We are very proud of our Kiwi learners, they chose their own part of the circus role and created their own routines. Thank you to all our visitors who came to enjoy the show!
This term Rooms 9 and 10 have been looking into 'Sustainability'. Alongside our learning we have been collecting recycled materials to make 'Junk Art Robots'. We were really impressed with the students' creativity and imagination in creating their own very unique robots.
Well done Room 9 and 10!
Sustainability is our context for Term 2 and Room 9 and Room 10 have been busy designing robots which will be created from recycled 'junk'. These pictures are of us painting our back grounds with which we will use to build and display our robot on. We loved mixing the paint on our pictures and can't wait to get stuck into building our robots!
The Kiwi Team have had an amazing time this week working to keep Coatesville School Bully Free. Each afternoon we got to head to a different teacher in the Kiwi Team where we learnt about ways to spread kindness. Have a look at some of our pictures taken this week!
The Context for Coatesville School this term is Diversity and the Kiwi team have been busy learning about what this means for us.
This week it was Room 10's chance to present at our team assembly. We have spent a lot of time practicing and rehearsing our lines. However we were all so nervous still!
The play was about how Ivy and Chloe were best friends and they always did everything together. Every lunch time they sat and ate their sandwiches together until Chloe said Ivy's sandwich was weird and yucky, and Ivy said Chloe's sandwich was gross. We learnt that it's ok to like different things!
Great job Room 10!
We have an amazing teacher - Mr Forsyth!
We are a Year 2 class and there are 24 of us!
We can't wait to see and do all the wonderful things planned for us this year.
