Congratulations to Eloise Turley-Baker, Mitchell Nicolson, Charlotte Wear, Sophia Ivory, Brittany Wilson, Jenae Hampson, Henry Williams and Rebecca Renwick who have been selected to represent Coatesville School as Student Leaders. More students will be selected to join this capable group as the year progresses.
These students are selected on the basis of consistently displaying; responsibility, independence, confident communication skills, team work, kindness to others, creativity, persistence, determination and striving to improve own standards.
Student Leaders meet with Mrs Blackmore every Tuesday lunch time to brainstorm and organise a range of tasks that they carry out around the school, throughout the year. Some of these include running such events as; Daffodil Day, Wheels day, Pyjama Day and helping with games on Ag Day.
They also attend 'Young Leaders Day' where they have the opportunity to listen to a range of young NZ celebrities talk about the qualities of leadership.
This week our students presented to the Salvation Army the 595 cans that the school collected and a cheque for $244.00 that was raised on Pyjama Day.
Well done to all those who contributed so generously!!
